Protect the Streets

IN HONOR OF OUR SISTER OLUWATOYIN SALAU

Often, the only way those who suffer from domestic violence from an intimate partner or from family members can escape from it is by running to live on the streets.

The streets are especially dangerous for black women, trans women, sex workers, and LGBTQ+ people who are female-aligned, who are more likely to experience sexual and intrapersonal violence at home and when they are homeless as a result of said violence. These groups, more often than not, intersect.

Through mutual aid, we can break the cycle.

Here are ways you can help them.
